Storm Chasing Day Three
This gallery shows photos taken on day three of the tour - the second chase day. After leaving Bismarck in the morning, we drove south into South Dakota where we had lunch in the state capital, Pierre. After lunch we drove on through the Badlands national park where we managed to intercept a low precipitation tornadic supercell near Interior, SD. The storm only briefly dropped a tornado but we managed to get some great shots of the storm as it joined a developing squall line that chased us to Chamberlain, SD where we watched the electrical storm before beers, pizza and bed!
